In a historic Swedish-Chinese collaboration, the Tongji-Plantagon Research Center opens to tackle global food crisis

Swedish innovator Plantagon International, pioneer in innovative vertical urban agricultural solutions, is setting up the Tongji-Plantagon Research Center with Tongji University, Shanghai. Under the auspices of His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, the Consul General of Sweden in Shanghai Ms. Viktoria Li officially opened the lab during a formal ceremony at Tongji University on April 3rd.

The Award is given out by the Plantagon Non Profit Association with the objective to underline the food security and safety issue. The awards are presented at the Urban Agriculture Summit in Linköping, Sweden. Professor Dickson Despommier, Columbia University, is awarded for his early and assiduous engagement for vertical farming.
