Professor Oren Lyons, Chairman of Plantagon, speaks on "Food Security amid Global Climate Change and Diminishing Resources" at the Urban Agriculture Summit 2011, in House of Sweden, Washington D.C. November 16. The theme of the Summit is "How do we feed people in the urban era?"
Oren Lyons, is a Native American Faithkeeper of the turtle clan of the Onondaga and Seneca Nations of the Iroquois Confederacy. Once a college lacrosse player, Lyons is now a recognized advocate of indigenous rights.
Lyons has been awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Syracuse University. In recognition of his contributions over many years as a teacher in the University at Buffalo, Dr. Lyons is listed as Suny Distinguished Service Professor and Professor Emeritus of American Studies in the UB College of Arts and Sciences.
He has been the recipient of the Ellis Island Congressional Medal of Honor, the National Audubon Award, the Earth Day International Award of the United Nations, and the Elder and Wiser Award of the Rosa Parks Institute for Human Rights.
Lyons serves on the board of the Harvard Project on American Indian Economic Development and is board chairman of Honoring Contributions in the Governance of American Indian Nations.
Since January 2008 Oren Lyons is the Chairman of the Board of the Swedish-American company Plantagon International AB.

The commercial area in the backbone of the Greenhouse building will be constructed in an equally sustainable way in terms of energy efficiency, materials and hi-tech solutions. This is the type to be built in Linköping.

At the moment we are planning a crop that does not have to be harvested subsequently, does not have to be bound and does not need to be put in a dark room for planting.
