Nov 16, 2011 16:28 GMT The Plantagon Greenhouse can be integrated into existing or new infrastructure to increase the efficiency regarding use of water, waste and energy. The commercial area in the backbone of the Greenhouse building will be constructed in an equally sustainable way in terms of energy efficiency, materials and hi-tech solutions. This is the type to be built in Linköping.

Nov 16, 2011 16:28 GMT This is the type of Plantagon Greenhouse Building planned for Linköping. The slanted facade is adapted to temperate climate zones and sun conditions. The backbone of the building contains commercial areas and areas suitable for for research.

Jul 06, 2012 00:51 BST Plantagon International has signed a memorandum of understanding on July 4th with the Tongji University in Shanghai. The MOU states that Plantagon and the University will cooperate regarding research on town-planning issues. Plantagon and Tongji will also cooperate regarding how to integrate Urban Agriculture in the local neighbourhood. Please see press release text for more details.

Nov 16, 2011 16:28 GMT By expanding the greenhouse vertically, the crops produced through Plantagon’s patented technology, in relation to the land area used, will increase considerably permitting multiple harvests for the same growth period. The commercial area will be designed and constructed in an equally sustainable way as the greenhouse in terms of energy efficiency, materials and hi-tech solutions.

Nov 16, 2011 16:28 GMT The idea of the Plantagon Greenhouse as a landmark and source of food for growing city populations has been developed further. In cooperation with Plantagon’s partner, Sweco, a new generation of greenhouses for urban agriculture has been designed. The growing area can be attached to existing high-rise building or built-in from the start in new commercial buildings such as offices and hotels.
