Plantagon is named as one of three finalists by Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in New York for its 2011 Green Award, to be presented to the winner by HRH Princess Madeleine of Sweden at the Royal Gala Dinner on November 1.

The New York Green Summit is arranged by Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in New York, SACC NY and focus this year is on sustainability in the food chain. The full-day summit, “From Farm to Fork,” will take place on November 2nd at Citibank Headquarters in Manhattan. Summit speakers include leading figures in the food world, such as Martha Stewart, Marion Nestle, Marcus Samuelsson and Swedish Minister for Rural Affairs, Eskil Erlandsson.
The Summit will be preceded by the Royal Gala Award Dinner held the evening before at IAC headquarters, during which the winner of the prestigious SACC NY-Deloitte Green Award, valued at $25,000, will be announced. Guest of honor HRH Princess Madeleine of Sweden will present the prize to the winning company, accompanied by guest of honor HRH Prince Daniel.
The other two finalists are Real Stevia and Solvatten. At the moment we are planning a crop that does not have to be harvested subsequently, does not have to be bound and does not need to be put in a dark room for planting. That is why leafy greens are suitable.
