Be top of the table at new Men United Sports Quiz

Question One: Which not to be missed new sports quiz takes place at the very venue that hosted the first recorded cricket match in 1730?
The Honourable Artillery Company will be the place to be on February 12, 2015 when the inaugural Men United Sports Quiz kicks-off.
Question Two: What do David Gower, Ray Clemence, Jeff Stelling and Colin Murray have in common?
The quiztastic quartet will all take centre stage at the star-studded gala event in the magnificent Georgian mansion in the City of London, just a stone’s throw away from Moorgate station, as Prostate Cancer UK aim to raise more than £80,000.
Question Three: Prostate Cancer UK ambassador Clemence and Kevin Keegan are two of three Scunthorpe United players to have captained England - can you name the other?
Ian Botham is that man in question, and at a venue with rich cricketing heritage the all-rounder’s former international and current commentary box colleague Gower will play a big role. And with talkSPORT presenter Murray and revered Sky Sports’ football anchor Stelling at the helm, the first event is shaping up to be a cracker with 25 tables competing to finish top of the league.
For many years Prostate Cancer UK has been questioning the status of men’s health and city professionals will be invited to take on their rivals in a quiz experience like no other with 25 tables of eight up for grabs.
To aid their quest to claim bragging rights against their business rivals, teams can also pick the brains of some of the country’s finest sporting names, by bidding for their services during the six-round extravaganza.
Rivalry aside, there will be plenty of revelry, with time for networking with likeminded businesses and brand awareness not to mention the chance to mingle with some iconic figures.
What’s more, there will be free drink on the night as well as a mouth-watering meal, and a luxury auction with some amazing prizes on offer, goodies galore and plenty more surprises in store.
Tables of eight are available for just £1,200 with money raised on the night set to support the 250,000 men in the UK diagnosed with prostate cancer every year. To seal a table and for more details click here.
Prostate Cancer UK’s Director of Fundraising, Mark Bishop said: “For too long there have more questions than answers about prostate cancer and we want to galvanise men to fight back.
“The power of sport continually allows us to spread our vitally important message about prostate cancer, and our inaugural Men United Sports Quiz is the perfect way to continue that momentum.
“It’s set to be an unforgettable – and hugely competitive – ¬evening as teams put their sporting knowledge on the line in the quest to become our first quiz champion and we’ve got some big surprises in store. But ultimately the real winner will be men’s health as we bid to fight back against this deadly disease.”
Gower said: “True or false - two international cricketers have played Davis Cup tennis for their country?*
Ever been stumped by a cricketing question? Luckily we have facts and figures at our fingertips at Sky Sports but I’m always keen to broaden my knowledge.
“Sports quizzes are a great way to bring groups together, but among the fun and frivolity I’m know there will be a real desire to win. The Men United Sports Quiz is a great concept raising money and awareness for a fantastic charity, Prostate Cancer UK, and I look forward to a great night.”
Clemence added: “I’ve always liked sporting facts and figures and a bit of trivia, so this new Men United Sports Quiz is right up my street. As someone who also has first hand experience of prostate cancer, it will be great to play a part on the evening and support a charity close to my heart.”
Stelling noted: “Viewers on Soccer Saturday will testify that I’m a stickler for details – I bet you don’t know who the top-scorer is for Inverness Caledonian Thistle right now, for example – but I can’t resist putting my knowledge to the test.
“This new Men United Sports Quiz is a simple idea for a great charity and I look forward to seeing some competitive action unfold on the night. May the best team win.”
Murray, who hosts the mid-morning show on talkSPORT said: “Admit it, you all know someone who fancies themselves as a sporting brainiac. You may even be one yourself.
“The Men United Sports Quiz gives you and your pals the perfect chance to put your money where your mouth is in support of Prostate Cancer UK. This is shaping up to be a night not to be missed so join me and some special guests for some fan, facts and full-blooded competition.”
The event kicks off at 6pm with an exclusive reception and the chance to talk tactics, before the serious business starts around 7pm. Tables of eight are just £1,200.
The Men United v Prostate Cancer campaign was launched at a breakfast briefing at The Football League HQ on January 24th with comedian Bill Bailey assuming the role of team manager.

Big names from the world of sport including Michael Owen, Paul Scholes, Les Ferdinand, David Gower and Will Carling have all signed up to Men United which has now got a squad of more than 190,000 members.
