Q-Park announces unique “park and service” solution for Glasgow

In the first scheme of its kind, Q-Park are partnering with E for Express to offer a full vehicle service while your car is parked in Glasgow city centre.

The scheme, which rolls out at the end of September, is designed to take the hassle out of vehicle servicing by working around your existing schedule. Instead of having to arrange alternative travel arrangements while your car is being serviced, you can simply park up in the city centre and go about your business as usual.

E for Express will operate a fully-staffed reception at Q-Park’s Glasgow city centre facility on Waterloo Street. Services should be booked in advance, after which customers can come and park in the usual way and simply drop their ticket and keys in the reception area, located on Waterloo Street by the vehicle entrance.

An experienced E for Express driver will take your vehicle to their nearby service centre to perform the service, which will be carried out by highly-trained technicians. Cars will be returned to the Q-Park facility in a pre-arranged time-frame, leaving you free to go to work or visit city centre shops, restaurants and attractions.

The staff on site can answer any questions - including the arrangement of alternative transportation during bigger jobs - but the majority of work will be completed during business hours, meaning customers can drive home in a fully-serviced car at the end of the working (or shopping!) day.

The E For Express reception area offers customers refreshments and free Wifi and is open from 0800-1730.

E for Express is operated by A For Audi Ltd specialising in VAG product, BMW, Mini & Porsche, but the servicing solution is available for all makes and models.

John Denton, Head of Sales and Marketing at Q-Park UK, said “This new convenient service is the first of its kind and complements our range of convenient services perfectly. We’re proud that we continue to be pioneers in the world of parking and adding value to our customers”

Andrew Duthie, Director at E For Express, said “This project has been in the pipeline for well over 12 months and we’re very excited to be launching this innovative proposition. Q-Park fits perfectly with our vision and we can’t wait to get going. Customer convenience was at the centre of the thought process and today we believe this new facility will provide just that”.
