Melton Theatre will reverberate to the fabulous high-octane sound of The Good Guys Orchestra on 31 Jan 2015 7.30pm.

The Good Guys Orchestra is one of the hottest sounds on the big band scene. This professional swing orchestra is blazing a music trail across the country presenting the most exciting arrangements of the big band greats from Count Basie to Michael Buble, featuring some of the best big band players on the circuit. Band leader, Guy Garrett, himself played in the world famous RAF Squadronnaires during his 26 years as a service musician.

"I wanted to form a band to do something a bit different" said Guy, "so we have sought out as many of the best arrangements of the big band greats as we can find, giving us a programme which covers music from the likes of Count Basie and Stan Kenton to the soaring scores of Sammy Nestico through to the technically fiendish but superb sounding pieces by Gordon Goodwin."

All of which adds up to a great evening of the punchiest foot-tapping swing music around.
