DNV GL backs Recharge Thought Leaders Summit

The DNV GL Group has agreed to be the Platinum sponsor for the first Recharge Thought Leaders Holmenkollen 2014 summit.

The summit will be on 9th January 2014 at the Holmenkollen Park Hotel in Oslo and will bring together some of the leading thinkers in renewable energy to discuss solutions for some of the key issues and problems facing the industry.

“DNV GL is the perfect partner for our first Holmenkollen summit because of its involvement at the heart of where new technology and sustainability intersect in our industry,” says Recharge’s Editor in Chief Ben Backwell. “We hope the summit will provide a forum for a really sleeves-rolled-up discussion on present challenges and provide some pointers for taking renewables to a new stage of growth.”

DNV GL’s Executive Vice President and Group Sustainability Officer Bjørn K. Haugland, a member of the Recharge Thought Leaders Club says: “The journey towards a low carbon society raises various issues and as we come to consider the many challenges, I think it’s important to keep in mind that no matter how great the challenge, we have the potential to rise to it if we work together. I very much look forward to the summit and discussing with other leading industry partners how can accelerate this transition.”

Invited participants at Holmenkollen will be able to participate in off-the-record discussions with industry peers and policymakers, as well as take part in private discussions. In the evening, we will host the annual Thought Leaders dinner, with top-level keynote speakers.

Details of the conference can be found on Recharge’s Thought Leaders mini-site at www.rechargenews.com/ThoughtLeaders
