IRENA and Recharge collaborate on REsource online database

The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) has linked up with Recharge, the global wind and solar industry news platform, for a series of exclusive collaborations based on the REsource online knowledge base. Readers of Recharge will now be able to access customisable themed dashboards containing the hard data behind key issues and trends driving the global renewables sector.

Adnan Z Amin, director-general of IRENA, said: "The continued growth of the renewable energy industry has outpaced the information available to monitor and analyse the sector.

"REsource now provides a strategic window into these trends and developments, while cementing IRENA's role as a global knowledge hub on renewable energy."

The first specially-designed REsource dashboard was created for Recharge by IRENA using data from the offshore wind industry and launched ahead of the Global Offshore Wind 2015 event in London.

Accessible via the Recharge website (www.rechargenews.com), the dashboards are a gateway to a wealth of searchable information and data from the global renewables industry held by REsource, which was launched by IRENA in January this year.

REsource was created by IRENA to offer up-to-date information needed to make informed decisions by everyone with a stake in the renewable energy industry, whether as a developer, policy-maker or investor. Users can create bespoke datasets, graphs and charts, access country-specific information, and drill down into areas such as finance, costs and policies.
