Bag A Boot Sale Bargain

Now’s the time to grab yourself a bargain as the new season of Bowlee Car Boot Sales begin on Sunday, April 6.

Your trash may be someone else’s treasure, so clean your house and turn your unwanted goods into someone else's prized possessions, or just explore the stalls to bag yourself a bargain. The events take place every Sunday or Monday on Bank Holiday weekends, from 7am to 1.30pm.

Councillor Jacqui Beswick, Cabinet Member for Place and Regulation, said: "The events are managed by Rochdale Borough Council so you can be sure we've done all the right checks so you know you're buying and selling in a legal, safe environment."

As a seller there’s no need to book, just turn up early from 6am to grab yourself a good spot and pay at the gate.

Prices for selling are:

  • Cars: £12
  • Estate vehicles, small vans, people carriers, 4x4s: £15
  • Large transit van upwards: £20

The buyers' car park at Bowlee, which opens from 6.30am on sale days, is located within the park. It costs £2 per vehicle to park.

Our vision is to grow the Bowlee Car Boot Sales and Collectors’ Markets so they become suitable events for all the family. If you've got an idea you'd like to see at our car boot events email environmental.management@rochdale.gov.uk or call 0845 226 1800 and we'll consider your idea.
