Press release -
Residents urged to have their say at PACT meetings
Residents of
Rochdale borough are being offered a unique opportunity to shape the future of
policing in their area during the coming months through a comprehensive
schedule of PACT meetings.
PACT stands for Partners And Communities Together and the concept has been created to offer local people the chance to interact with local law enforcement officers.
Residents can raise issues important to them, discuss how current issues are being handled and find out more about how local policing affect them and their community.
Councillor Daalat Ali, Cabinet Member for Community, Culture and Tourism, said: “The PACT meetings provide a tremendous opportunity for local people to speak up about issues close to their heart.
“It’s a chance to meet with some of the people responsible for keeping us safe, gain an understanding of the work they do and talk to them about anything of concern.”
