Summer Fete set to shine
Hollingworth Lake Visitor Centre will be hosting a fete on Sunday 17 August, with guests invited to take part in a whole host of activities.
Taking place between 11am and 4pm, the ‘Fete at the Lake’ promises to provide an afternoon of entertainment for all the family.
Cabinet Member for Housing and Environment, Councillor Jacqui Beswick said:
“As one of the most beautiful areas in the borough, Hollingworth Lake is an ideal location for a summer fete. I encourage all residents to attend, especially those with young families, who are looking for an exciting local event this summer.”
The event is being organised by the Lancashire Wildlife Trust, it will feature various stalls and games including hook a duck, catch a thief and many others. A traditional tombola and bottle stall will also be present throughout the afternoon.
