SkiStar Hemsedal: Ski charter to Hemsedal in Norway
It is now becoming even easier and quicker to go on a skiing holiday to Hemsedal – one of Europe’s most snowsure ski resorts. Situated in the middle of the wild Norwegian winter snowscapes, Hemsedal is just a few hours away now that two of Europe’s leading ski tour operators are offering charter tours with direct flights to Fagernes Lufthavn.
With its northern situation and high altitude at 625-1 920 metres above sea level, Hemsedal is a snowsure ski destination recording plenty of snow every winter during the season that runs from November until May. Before this upcoming season, SkiStar Hemsedal has entered into partnerships with the charter tour operators Crystal Ski/Thomson and ArkeFly -TUI Nederland, both offering ski trips with direct flights to Fagernes Lufthavn, a mere 80 km from the ski slopes in Hemsedal. Every Sunday, starting from 22 December the skiing guests will be swiftly and efficiently airlifted from British Gatwick and Schiphol in the Netherlands respectively to the great wintery scenery in Hemsedal.

"Many European skiing guests have already discovered Hemsedal making their way to our snowsure ski destination. With the addition of the direct charter flights the offering and the journeys will become easier for guests arriving from London and Amsterdam. The guests will enjoy much simplified travel to and from Hemsedal, with reduced travel hours, and better service while booking, travelling and also during their stay".
Crystal Ski, one of Great Britain’s leading ski tour operators, already reports a good start to the sales of ski tours for the coming winter. The British ski travel market is enjoying a positive trend, demonstrating increased interest in skiing and ski trips. Crystal offers charter packages from Gatwick to Hemsedal via Fagernes Lufthavn from £345 per adult this winter season 2013/14.
In the Netherlands one of the tour operators ArkeFly is offering charter trips to Hemsedal this winter. The package tour season to Hemsedal starts at Christmas with weekly departures until 16 March. Fares start from £399 per person for a one week package holiday.
The British and Dutch skiing guests will find various accommodation options in Hemsedal. Cabins and chalet apartments of high standard in ski-in/ski-out location are the most popular but there are alternatives to suit every budget – ranging from full-service hotels to basic standard apartments.
