MP calls on Gioconda to approach Boris Johnson over London railway projects

And she has asked them to contact London Mayor Boris Johnson about becoming involved in the multi billion pound London based railway improvement projects.

Gioconda directors held a meeting with Ms Grant last week to discuss the company’s work and its potential to provide an economic boost both to Kent and to the UK as a whole.

The company devised the world’s first HD desktop railway signal sighting technology by combining high definition video and 3D virtual reality modelling to create software tools and services which improve rail passenger safety and save money for Network Rail.

The company has been heavily involved with risk based signal sighting on the Edinburgh to Glasgow Improvement Programme, EGIP, Thameslink and Cardiff.

Gioconda MD Simon Gardiner said: “It was a really helpful meeting and we were delighted that Helen Grant is so supportive of our work and can see how advancements in technology will play a major role not only in improving safety on Britain’s railways and saving money on major infrastructure projects but also in providing employment for her constituents.”

MP Helen Grant suggested approaching Boris Johnson about working on London rail programmes when she met  Gioconda director Simon Crittenden, MD Simon Gardiner and business development manager David Day.
