Car owners to stage a ‘Mini Invasion’ in 2017

Mini car-owners from across Britain will be part of a ‘mini invasion’ in 2017 thanks to ferry company, Stena Line, who have just signed a travel deal that will allow them to get to Ireland, for less, to attend an International Mini Meeting on May 25 – 29 at Westport House, Westport, County Mayo.

As part of the launch plans, 20 Mini cars descended on the Stena Line terminal at Dublin Port recently, explained Diane Poole OBE, Head of PR and Communications, Stena Line.

“It was such a colourful sight, seeing all of the Minis at the port, our passengers loved every minute of it.

“In May 2017, lots of Mini owners will travel from Britain to Ireland to attend the International Mini Meeting and we hope during their trip they make time to discover more of what Ireland has to offer.”

Stena Line operates an all year round sailing schedule on it Holyhead-Dublin, Fishguard-Rosslare, Cairnryan-Belfast and Liverpool-Belfast routes, making them a key tourism gateway between Britain and Ireland.

“Our ships have many wonderful passenger facilities and our staff offer the best in customer service”, continued Diane. “The ships have many features including deluxe cabins, free cinemas, luxury Stena Plus lounges, discounted shopping, various bars, restaurants and coffee lounges, children’s play areas with X Box stations and of course a viewing deck where passengers can enjoy the sea air. There is never a dull moment when you sail with Stena Line.”
