Stena Line employees take on 3 Loch Challenge in aid of Mercy Ships

TWENTY-TWO Stena Line employees from Wales are planning to take on a mammoth challenge this week starting on the 7th April, by walking 34 miles around three lochs in Scotland - Loch Lomond, The Gareloch and Loch Long. The challenge will be attempted in just 24 hours - with all proceeds raised going to Stena Line’s Mercy Ships charity.

The 3 Loch Challenge is set to be a tough one as it is advised that experienced hikers take two to three days to complete the walk along tough Scottish terrain. Stena Line employee Sarah Snowcroft Roberts organised the brave venture and said:

“We are all fully aware that this hike will be very difficult and testing, however we’re thoroughly looking forward to it. We have a really strong team and I’m sure we will work together to ensure we succeed in this challenge - let’s just hope the great British weather doesn’t let us down!

“We hope to raise as much money as possible for Mercy Ships. Our initial target was £2000, but this has already been surpassed which of course we are delighted about. We really appreciate all donations, big and small, so please keep them coming in!” added Sarah.

The Mercy Ships charity provides free health care and education to some of the poorest people in the world and assists nations in building their own health care systems and help to sustain development through education.
