​A Sociable Start To 2017

As we start the beginning of the New Year, Christmas suddenly seems like a long time ago. This year don’t let the January blues get you down; there is plenty to look forward to over the next coming months here at Stoke Park. Before you know it, it will be spring and the sunshine and flowers will be out again...

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, have you got something planned for your loved one? There is something very special about the romantic aura which Valentine’s Day brings to Stoke Park and so to make the most it, we have plenty of ways to celebrate. Romance your loved one over a four course dinner or for something a little sweeter enjoy a themed afternoon tea for the occasion. Residential packages are also available, giving you the opportunity to spend the night in one of our luxurious bedrooms and suites. With a bottle of Champagne and a Valentine’s themed cake in your room on arrival, it’s the perfect setting for a romantic getaway.

Chris Wheeler put on a fantastic Ladies Lunch in December; it was wonderful to see so many Members and their Guests enjoying the festive cheer. Out next Ladies Lunch will be back on Wednesday 8^th March when we look forward to welcoming Rosie Dickinson, founder of The Healthy Juice Company, to host and give a talk on Juice Cleansing. Learn more about their natural juices and the health and wellbeing benefits of Juice Cleansing and you’ll be taking a step in the right direction to ensuring a happy and healthy 2017.

As we look ahead to the spring months, it will be a busy time for Chris and his team in the kitchen. On Sunday 26^th March we’ll be celebrating Mother’s Day, ensuring every Mother sits back and relaxes as we treat them to an appetising three course lunch. Chris will also be serving up another delightful three course lunch for Easter Sunday Lunch on Sunday 16^th April. With a chocolate egg for every child, there will be something for all the family to enjoy this Easter.

The bunker refurbishment work on The Alison (holes 10 – 18) is also well underway and we are enjoying watching the new bunkers beginning to take shape. We look forward to their re-opening in April and hope you will find time to play on the course this year, whether it be with a friend, family member or with clients on a corporate day.
