Five Simple Steps To A Successful Wedding . . . .

When it comes to weddings - there is a lot to plan, from deciding your ideal location to selecting the perfect photographer to capture every minute of the big day. To ensure this process is simple and stress-free, our experienced wedding co-ordinator has put together these steps to ensure your wedding is perfect from start to finish.

Step one…Budgeting… Before you start planning, take a moment from all the excitement to sit down and work out your budget. Budgets (although seem boring and restrictive at first!) are extremely important, as you want to be sure what you’re committing to is within your budget plan. Along with your budget make sure you create a wish list, its fundamental that your wish list is realistic, we’ve all have extravagant dream which see us walking down the aisle dripping in diamonds or hiring a snow machine to make a 300 acre estate look like a winter wonderland! An agreed budget will ensure your dreams and wish list are achievable.

Step two… Plan.. Plan..Plan.. Now you have the budget, wish list and dream list agreed, you need to have a rough date in mind early on, even though this may not be finalised it will help with the initial stages of planning. Venues in particular get booked up extremely quickly (especially those with exclusivity). So the date of the wedding may depend on your dream venue’s availability, once set you can start piecing together ideas, allowing you to mutually agree all the important aspects whilst working towards a date.

Step three… Theming…Choose your theme, be creative with the season and take advantage of what it could offer as ideas towards your theme. For example, if your wedding is close to Christmas you could creativity use fairy lights to decorate the venue or Christmassy spices to add a touch of Christmas to your dishes. Alternatively, if you choose a summer wedding, consider how you could decorate with home-made bunting or use fun, quirky floral decorations to decorate outside seating – of course with the glorious English climate, this is weather dependant.

Step four…Smaller details… Choosing the right entertainment and photographer is fundamental. As with entertainment you have to decide what kind of atmosphere you would like to create, would you like a DJ for dancing the night away or a quartet for you to sit back and enjoy? Take your time to research different options, take a moment to read reviews and ask friends/family for their recommendations and opinions. When selecting a photographer and videographer, ask to see a portfolio as this will give you a good idea on their style and skill – this is highly important, as you want them to capture every single moment of your big day.

Finally, step five… Honeymoon dreaming…Planning your honeymoon is incredibly exciting, as this is your time to relax and reflect on your memorable day. So, don’t rush, the world is a big place – take your time making your decision and booking it.
