Support the Stroke Association with a festive fundraiser

Christmas is fast approaching, and the Stroke Association are calling on Christmas lovers everywhere to support Cwmbran Vale Rotary’s festive 2014 Christmas Pudding Appeal in aid of the Stroke Association.

The appeal raised over £15,000 for charity last year, and now the Stroke Association and the Rotary want to top last year’s total and set a new record to sell over 3,500 puddings.

The luxury Christmas Puddings are made by the Ultimate Plum Pudding Company, a small, family run business based in Cumbria. The company have been in the pudding business for nearly 30 years, and supply top London food halls.

Bridget Stadden, Community and Events Fundraising Manager at the Stroke Association, said:

‘We are so pleased that the Cwmbran Vale Rotary have chosen to support us with this appeal. The money raised will help us make a real difference to the lives of stroke survivors and their families, so what better way to get in to the spirit of Christmas?

‘Together we can conquer stroke; so let’s spread a little festive cheer with a luxury Christmas pudding.’

Each pudding costs £10 and serves 8-10 people. All profits raised will be donated to the Stroke Association. To keep postage and packaging costs down and to ensure as much money as possible can be raised for the Stroke Association, puddings can only be ordered in boxes of 12.

The puddings are available through the Stroke Association online shop: shop.stroke.org.uk/shop/christmas-2014

Please place all orders before Friday 12 December to make sure your puddings arrive in time.
