Quality certificate for Church of Sweden’s international work

The Church of Sweden’s international work section is one of the first development aid organisations in the world to be certified according to the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS).

The Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) certification is issued by the Humanitarian Quality Assurance Initiative (HQAI) and means that the Church of Sweden’s international work is both responsible and of good quality. This means that the Church of Sweden:

… delivers its pledges to partners and rights holders, i.e. the people who are involved in the projects
… maintains good quality in its work
… reduces the risk of corruption
… learns from mistakes and continually strives to improve

“This is a mark of quality for the Church of Sweden,” says Gunilla Hallonsten, International Director. “We take responsibility from start to finish, and we want people who are living in vulnerable situations to be involved and feel safe with us and our partners.”

The CHS certificate, no. hqai-chs-2016-001, is valid until March 2020.
