Qlik 11.20 - Important Support Update

Commitment to QlikView Customers

Qlik announced earlier this week that they will remain fully committed to support both Qlik® products. This means that they will continue to invest in QlikView for the foreseeable future. With each new release, Qlik deliver engine-level improvements from Qlik Sense, increased product quality and performance, and new features such as advanced analytics integration. This will be announced at Qonnections next week, but we wanted to give you, our valued customers, a heads up on this message.

In accordance with Qlik®’s Maintenance Policy, standard support for QlikView 11.20 has ended as of March 31, 2018. However, based on customer feedback Qlik has decided to make Extended Support available to all QlikView 11.20 customers who are currently on maintenance, at no additional charge. Extended Support for QlikView 11.20 will be available until at least March 31, 2019.

The availability of Extended Support for QlikView 11.20 is to provide valued customers with ample time to upgrade to the fully supported QlikView product, and is not an indication that customers should stay on QlikView 11.20 indefinitely.

Further, Extended Support is not an extension of standard support and maintenance under the Qlik Maintenance Policy. It consists only of troubleshooting and fixes that are issued as patches at Qlik’s discretion. Only severe, mission critical issues will be considered for resolution in QlikView 11.20, and there will be no product enhancements to QlikView 11.20 as part of Extended Support.

The current fully supported versions of QlikView are QlikView 12.00, 12.10, and 12.20. To receive all the benefits of Qlik’s support services (including, but not limited to, product enhancements and service releases) customers must be on one of these versions and current on maintenance fees.

The latest versions of QlikView have the benefit of cumulative quality improvements, so it is still strongly recommend that you upgrade to the latest version if you haven't already done so. Tahola are well versed in the upgrade process, and can help facilitate this transition for you. We suggest you take advantage of this time to plan your upgrade for the coming year.

Qlik remains fully committed to QlikView and will continue to invest in it for the foreseeable future. With each new release, they deliver engine-level improvements from Qlik Sense®, increased product quality and performance, and new features such as advanced analytics integration and on-demand app generation. QlikView customers can take advantage of ongoing product innovations by continuing the QlikView journey on our latest supported versions.

For your planning purposes, please note the following Support expiration dates:

QlikView 12.00: Regular Support & Maintenance will expire on November 16, 2018.

QlikView 12.10: Regular Support & Maintenance will expire two years from the release of QlikView 12.20; therefore, November 17, 2019.

QlikView 12.20 (released November 17, 2017): Regular Support & Maintenance will expire two years from the release of QlikView 12.30.
