A Tech Start Up, The Digital Bra, launched this month. This innovative technology was developed for women who constantly struggle to find a bra that fits.

According to recent studies:

More than 88% of women globally cannot find a bra that fits.

66% of women are aware that ill-fitting bras create many health issues.

56% said they prefer bras without wires but find it almost impossible to get one.

A perfect fit comes from The Digital Bra technology, the first of its kind.

The Digital Bra’s innovative App allows you to scan your body using the camera on your smartphone like a 3D scanner, from the privacy of your home. The scan takes more than 120 measurements to create an outline silhouette of your body on their secure server, allowing them to manufacture a bra that is the perfect fit.

Judy van Niekerk founder of The Digital Bra says, “these measurements include the distance between the top of your shoulder to the start of the top of your breasts, the actual shape of your breasts, the angle of your shoulders - every measurement you can imagine. It even accounts for different size breasts, which many women have.”

Once scanned, you select a bra from their range perfectly suited for you. Using a set of complex algorithms, the digital bra software makes the customized adjustments to create a bra pattern that is a 100% perfect fit.

The bra is manufactured and sent to you by courier.

Women normally go from one store to the next and find a bra size that is different every single time. Van Niekerk says this a huge problem, and is one of the reasons women have given up on a bra that fits. “Traditional bras are based on only three measurements which are under and over breasts.A woman’s shape and size is as unique to her as her fingerprints. How can you possibly find a comfortable bra that is based on only three measurements when every single woman is different, a bra is far more than just the cup size and band size. There is shape to consider as well size, every single woman is very, very different”.
