Start-up subscription service is bringing socksy back.

A new subscription service is bringing socksy back.

LONDON – A subscription service has launched across the UK which aims to make it as simple as possible for men to wear brilliant socks, all year round.

The London Sock Exchangesells a single product: a sock subscription for men. Sign up, receive exclusive socks in the post, and recycle your old ones.

Here’s how it works:

- Subscribers receive three pairs of socks every quarter in a custom-built box slim enough to fit through the letterbox.

- Each pair arrives complete with styling notes, giving seasonal pointers on which trousers and shoes best complement the socks.

- The cotton-rich socks feature striking, exclusive British designs, and are crafted with hand-linked toe seams for maximum comfort.

And once the socks have been removed from their delivery box, subscribers have the option to refill the box with any old, unwanted socks and return it, for free, to The London Sock Exchange. Box and socks are then recycled, giving subscribers a means of refreshing and de-cluttering their sock-drawers in a hassle-free and environmentally-friendly way.

Dan Zell, Director of The London Sock Exchange, said:

‘From our socks to our box to our styling notes right through to our care instructions, every part of our service has been created to get a man’s heart racing each time our box pops through the door. We like to call it the joy of socks – and we can’t wait to spread it far and wide.’

Oli Brookes, Director, added:

‘We do the hard work for our subscribers: designing, crafting and curating beautiful socks, before delivering them straight through the letterbox. That’s why it makes such a great gift to your boyfriend, husband, brother, son, dad – or just to yourself.’

Subscriptions cost £15 per quarter, and are available at thelondonsockexchange.net
