A Swedish princess was born earlier this morning

At 4.26 am on 23 February the new Swedish heir-apparent was born. The Crown Princess Victoria gave birth to a baby girl weighing 3.28 kilograms and measuring 51 centimetres long.

According to the father of the princess, Prince Daniel, the birth proceeded without any complications and both the mother and the baby are happy and healthy.

During this morning’s press conference the Prince appeared calm but sincerely moved by the birth if his daughter. He asked the media for some alone time in order for the small family of three to adapt to the new situation.

The name of the newborn is to be announced later this week. The Swedish Chamber of Commerce sends their warmest congratulations to the new family.
