Hospital Saturday Fund donate £20,000 to Sick Children’s Trust

The Sick Children’s Trust was delighted to receive a very generous donation of £20,000 from The Hospital Saturday Fund last month.

The Hospital Saturday Fund has been a long term supporter of The Sick Children’s Trust and invited Celebrity Ambassador Alice Beer along to the its AGM to give a talk about the charity’s work and collect the cheque.

Paul Jackson, chief executive of the Hospital Saturday Fund, says: “We were very privileged to have Alice Beer as our special guest at our AGM and to be able to present a grant to The Sick Children’s Trust, a charity we have been supporting for a number of years. We know this grant will be of enormous assistance to the charity’s excellent work and that it will benefit a huge number of children and their families.”

Last year, The Sick Children’s Trust supported around 4,000 families with free ‘Home from Home’ accommodation and on average it costs £30 per night to support a family in one of the charity’s ten ‘Homes from Home’.

Trust Fundraiser, Sam Broderick, says:“We’re so grateful for the loyal support given to us by The Hospital Saturday Fund. This generous donation will make a huge difference to many families – enabling them to be at their sick child’s hospital bed side at a time they need to be there the most.”
