Tasty Expansion for Puréety Gourmet Flavours

For one high growth food and brand development company the last few months has seen a doubling in staff and a move to new premises. Puréety Gourmet Flavours has been working with major UK retailers since its inception by Chef Gareth Pearson in 2009. Gareth, who was part of the team that earned celebrity Chef Nigel Howarth a Michelin star, has been cleverly carving out a niche as a creative supplier ever since. Whilst being best known to date for its 20 minute marinades and ultimate potato seasoning, the company’s innovative approach to staple classics has helped them make a name for themselves with the main national retail buyers.

Gareth Pearson, Managing Director of Puréety Gourmet Flavours commented “I remember starting the business on my kitchen table at was the beginning of what would go on to become the words worst global economic downturn and thinking ‘Am I doing the right thing here’!! But five years on I can definitely say it was the best business decision I ever made. We have been very fortunate and seen the company grow year on year forcing the move this month to bigger premises and taking on more staff to help manage that growth. I am so proud of the team who work so hard to maintain our incredibly high standards of service to our customers. I must confess that the best part, for me at least, is getting back in the kitchen to create the recipes and testing them out on friends and family. Not all are instant hits I must admit and there is no one like your own children to tell you honestly what they think! We have so many new products in the pipeline and a great deal of interest from the biggest names in the business that I’m very much looking forward to driving more growth in the business throughout 2014, 2015 and hopefully beyond”.

The company with an ethos and strapline of ‘make life taste better!’ has many products that have become a staple purchase for the buyers of leading retailers. The products have always included nothing artificial and innovative in their concept making it an attractive option for the buyers who ultimately have demanding retail customers to satisfy.

The product range has significantly increased in recent months due to substantial contract wins throughout Europe, with several new products being discussed with a leading retailer on an exclusive range for their more discerning customers.

Notes to Editors:

Puréety Gourmet Foods was established in 2009 by former Executive Development Chef Gareth Pearson.

It started from his kitchen table with his own creative blend of innovative recipes to provide something new in the market place that would instantly add a depth of flavour to well-known and easy to cook dishes. The concept being to make life easier at meal times.

The company has grown year on year since 2009 and now has a multimillion pound turnover and a host of well know national, regional and local retailers as its clients. It moved offices in 2014 to accommodate new staff members to help manage the ongoing growth of the company.

Gareth Pearson, the Managing Director, was the youngest pastry Chef ever to be part of the team that saw Nigel Haworth awarded a Michelin star when he was at the age of just 19, following on from his success at age 18 when he was awarded Student Chef of Europe.

Gareth has been a key Executive Development Chef to leading national companies earning a reputation for high standards within the industry.
