Mar 20, 2013 12:07 GMT The IT sector in the EU is projected to need an extra 900,000 professionals by 2015. It is apparent that more needs to be done to attract skilled workers into the IT industry. The UK IT Association has been encouraged by the European Commission’s creation of the Grand Coalition for Digital Jobs, but more needs to be done to close the IT skills gap.

There is a glass ceiling between the IT businesses that are known to and have accessed help from things like RDA growth project funds and the huge number of IT businesses who are not on the radar of the policy makers and funders.
