Early birds can now book train tickets with their Festival No.6 tickets – 8 months in advance!

  • Fixed at £42 return from London Euston and £22 return from Manchester Piccadilly
  • First two headliners revealed to be Grace Jones and Belle & Sebastian plus Young Fathers, Kate Tempest, Ghostpoet and many more

As Festival No.6 reveals that Grace Jones and Belle & Sebastian will be headlining this year, fans of the line-up can now take the opportunity to book their trains tickets at the same time as their festival tickets - thanks to Virgin Trains, the official travel partner of Festival No.6 for 2015.

Early bird festival go-ers can now book up to eight months before their travel date rather than the usual 12 weeks through the Festival No.6 website.

Virgin Trains has created exclusive Festival No.6 Priority Fares available for a limited time only and from today Priority Fares will be available from most locations on the West Coast Main Line into Bangor, fixed at £42 return from London Euston and £22 return from Manchester Piccadilly.

Services from across the West Coast will connect into Crewe for a special Festival No.6 Virgin Trains festival service, with fun surprises along the way to keep passengers entertained throughout their journey.

There is also the option of pre-booking your return shuttle bus transfer from Bangor station to Portmeirion festival site. Customers will be able to enjoy a reserved seat on both the train legs (to Crewe as well as on the Festival No. 6 train to Bangor) while Virgin Trains staff will also be on hand at Crewe to help bag laden customers with their luggage.

Festival goers can get to Bangor hassle free from London, Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Customers also have the option tochoose a return journey for automatically reserved seats, on Monday September 7, 2015.

Adrian Varma, Senior Partnerships and Marketing Manager at Virgin Trains said:

“2014 saw us whisking thousands of festival goers along the beautiful North Wales coast in style and giving the festival experience our own unique Virgin spin. We’re absolutely thrilled to be back as the official travel partner for 2015 and are upping the ante this year to give our customers an even better festival experience with fun on the service to No.6. Not only are we making it easier than ever before to travel to the festival by train with our amazing value, Priority Fares but we’ll be throwing in some surprises along the way so all our customers arrive feeling like a VIP. 2015 is set to be even bigger and better!”

Luke Huxham, Festival Director of No.6 said: "We're very pleased to announce that Virgin Trains will be our travel partner again for Festival No.6. We encourage festival customers to take up these amazing travel deals and take the greener option to arrive at Portmeirion via Bangor."

Virgin Trains and festival tickets will be posted one month before Festival No.6. For more information visit http://www.festivalnumber6.com/content/view/133/875/4538

About Virgin Trains

Virgin Trains is the brand name of Virgin Rail Group (VRG), which is owned by Virgin Group (51%) and Stagecoach (49%). Virgin Trains has operated the West Coast passenger train franchise since 1997, serving key UK cities including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool and Glasgow. In June 2014 the Department for Transport (DfT) awarded VRG a new franchise until at least April 2017.

We provide the most frequent long-distance rail service in Europe (London - Manchester and London – Birmingham, both every 20 minutes).

Since 1997, Virgin Trains has introduced over 70 new trains at a cost of £1.5 billion. The service carries more than 32 million passengers a year and Virgin Trains employs approximately 3,290 staff.

Virgin Trains customers consistently rate the company as one of the top long-distance rail franchise operators in the National Passenger Survey (NPS) commissioned by industry watchdog “Passenger Focus”.
