Press release -
Virgin Trains offers summer bookings up to six months in advance for weekends
In an industry first, Virgin Trains east coast has extended its six-month booking horizon to include weekends as well as weekdays for the summer months for the entire line. The west coast has also opened most Saturdays for the summer.
This gives customers more time to plan holidays, secure great deals and book tickets for their staycation.
This is the latest in a series of moves by Virgin Trains to tempt people away from air travel (and car travel) including the new Beam streaming service allowing customers to access hours of free films and TV series straight onto their devices.
Tickets from London-Edinburgh are available from as little as £25 and London – Glasgow from £30 allowing customers to travel from city centre to city centre, cutting overall journey times and maximising productive time on-board with Wi-Fi or relaxing with a movie.
Suzanne Donnelly, Commercial Director for Virgin Trains on the east coast said:
“We want customers to choose to travel by train and enjoy the beauty of what the UK has to offer during the summer. That’s why we’re so pleased to be opening weekend advanced bookings.”
Network Rail’s confirmation of engineering works further in advance over the summer months allows Virgin Trains to have a confirmed timetable up until August 20th.
Customers booking directly on VirginTrainsEastCoast.com or VirginTrains.com will benefit from no booking fees and the lowest price on our website.
