Oct 19, 2012 12:24 BST
Finland is Christmas country and the home of Santa Claus. In December, three main cities Helsinki, Turku and Tampere all host lovely Christmas markets, and, as usual, Santa is eager to receive visitors at his grounds in Lapland.
Feel the festive spirit and shop for handicrafts, ceramics, jewellery, and various accessories, without forgetting seasonal local delicacies at Finland’s idyllic Christmas markets. See our tips on where to go.
Turku
Turku is the “Christmas City of Finland”. Besides the Christmas market, national Christmas Peace has been declared in Turku for almost 700 years.
