Press release -
Highland Safaris' Christmas Experience set 't-woo' visitors
Five-star Perthshire Visitor Attraction, Highland Safaris in Aberfeldy, is introducing its first ever Christmas Experience.
With free entry for the local community, the Christmas Experience celebrates the season by building on the tremendous popularity of the new Red Deer Centre.
Using one of Scotland’s most iconic natural assets, the Red Deer, visitors will learn about the differences between these and close cousins the Reindeer in a festive interactive session before being introduced to Ossian the Barn Owl in a hands-on display.
The experience continues with a light-filled ‘Discovery Trail’ – a fun and inspiring short walk with outstanding views of the beautiful surrounding countryside or in fading light is transformed into a magical winter landscape.
Jim Clarkson, VisitScotland Regional Director, said: "Highland Safaris Christmas Experience is a great example of a tourism business making the most of its unique natural environment in a most creative and engaging way to stage an event spanning five weeks. The benefits to the rural economy from this sort of initiative cannot be underestimated."
Highland Safaris Director Julie Riddell said: "The Christmas Experience is a great opportunity to get out and do something as a family. It’s wonderful to engage with nature and create lasting memories at this time of year."
The Christmas Experience runs from 22 November until 4 January.
(Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.)
