Press release -

Sustaining Communities event offers support for new and existing social enterprises.

Two leading support organisations are hosting a free event for social enterprises and community groups considering social enterprise in Dolgellau on the 18th June.

Mantell Gwynedd and the Wales Co-operative Centre have come together to offer support and information relevant to social enterprises who are just starting out or who need a helping hand in the next stage of their development. The event at Dolgellau Rugby Club will discuss the role of social enterprises and the legal and business structures that can be used. There will be information about applying for contracts and tendering as well as on financial support available for social enterprises in Wales.

Nick Wilson is a business consultant based at the Wales Co-operative Centre, he commented,

“This event is a great opportunity to find out more about social enterprise approaches and the opportunities available for them. I’m looking forward to meeting community and voluntary groups who are looking to become social enterprises and the opportunity to network and share information with existing social enterprises in the area”.

Entry to the event is free but must be booked in advance.
