CBI: Chief Executives and the role of digital channels
Earlier in February I had the pleasure of attending a select Policy Lunch at Westminster, hosted by Neil Carmichael MP, Chairman of Conservative Europe Group, with guest speaker Katja Hall, Deputy Director-General, CBI.
Much of the debate centred on Britain’s membership of the EU, on reform and the impact of potential change on jobs and growth. There was a fascinating discussion around agency worker and working time directives, and the barriers to justice for small businesses as a result of soaring tribunal fees.
The impact of digital was emphasised, with Katja Hall stressing the importance for Chief Executives to take this message out to their workforce via these social channels in an accessible language, and the need to see more CEOs on TV.
