MARK PROVENANCE AND TRACEABILITY WITH LABELLING TOOLKIT

Press Release   •   Jun 19, 2013 11:05 BST

The importance of clearly labelling the origin of beef and lamb products has never been so important and EBLEX has lots of ways to make this easier for its Quality Standard Mark scheme members.

EBLEX, the organisation for beef and lamb levy payers in England, has a range of digital and print solutions to help make labelling-up beef and lamb carcases as simple as possible.

Laura Bishop, EBLEX Marketing Manager (Quality Schemes) said: “Compared with this time last year, consumers have a more heightened interest in the provenance and traceability of the red meat they are buying.

“EBLEX’s Quality Standard Mark scheme has always been underpinned with values concerned with animal welfare from farm to plate and this includes being able to provide assurances as to the provenance – as well as eating quality – of all meat labelled as QSM.

“We have a wealth of resources to help our members to develop their businesses and this is just one of the ways we can help.”

Labelling options include:

• Box Stickers

• Carcase Stamps

• Carcase Tags

• Pack Stickers

• Invoice Stamps

• Print logos (available in full colour and black and white)

Simply ask the Quality Standard Mark hotline team for your chosen format and they can provide you with digital mono versions to work with laser barcode label printers in vector, jpeg, eps, png, giff and PDF.
