EBLEX trade marketing has expanded its team with two new members of staff. The new recruits, who took up their positions last month, are a welcome addition to the team, bringing additional support and skills to the organisation.

Sally Crowther joins as ‘PR and digital executive’. A trained journalist, Sally spent seven years working in various PR agencies across trade and consumer accounts. She later moved to a university, where she set up and established several social media platforms for the educational institution. As PR and digital executive for EBLEX, Sally will manage new social media channels for the trade team – as well as being involved in the development of

Martin Eccles also joins the team as 'trade marketing executive'. An experienced butcher who previously worked for a national red meat supplier, Martin's principle role at EBLEX will be to assist the trade team in developing new cuts of beef and lamb, as well as methods of preparation and presentation. He will also work closely with processors, foodservice operators and retailers who are members of the Quality Standard Mark Scheme.

Mike Whittemore, EBLEX trade team marketing manager, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sally and Martin to the EBLEX trade marketing team. They will be a great addition, bringing with them new skill sets and a fresh perspective.”


EBLEX is the organisation for beef and lamb levy payers in England and is a division of the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB).

It exists to enhance the profitability and sustainability of the English beef and lamb sector. Its aims are:

  • To help the beef and sheep meat supply chain become more efficient
  • To add value to the beef and sheep meat industry.
