The Royal Air Force has joined forces with Lincoln College to launch the UK’s first ever Air & Defence Career College. The Air & Defence Career College specialises in engineering, computer science, cooking and catering - and on top of the training, students will get to take part in RAF fitness and adventure training and residential courses.

The Royal Air Force Regular and Reserve BMW Motorcycle team has begun the quest for the 2016 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship at Silverstone. Senior personnel from the Royal Air Force including Air Marshal Sir Baz North and Air Commodore Chris Luck were present at the world famous race track to talk about everything from recruitment to the RAF's links to the UK's Bike Safe campaign.

Four Royal Air Force personnel will be contributing to the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, including the event's leading medal winner. Flight Lieutenant David Calvert MBE, will be making his tenth appearance for Northern Ireland in the Full-Bore shooting event and wlll be joined by three fellow RAF personnel, who have all been selected for coaching roles.

The Royal Air Force will be proudly supporting the government’s national Inspiring Women campaign at Manchester Academy on Tuesday 15 July. The event is part of the Inspiring Women campaign launched by Miriam González Durántez in October 2013. The target for the campaign is to eventually see 15,000 women from a wide range of occupations going into state schools to talk about their careers.

The Royal Air Force's Stuart Benson from Troon in Scotland has narrowly missed out on a medal with the Team GB Men’s Bobsleigh team at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. Benson, who is currently an Avionics Technician at RAF Cosford in Wolverhampton was part of the British team that finished fifth in the bobsleigh event - just 0.11 seconds off snatching a bronze medal.

The world famous Red Arrows have unveiled a brand new tailfin design ahead of their historic 50th display season. The RAF Marketing Team was on hand at RAF Scampton to interview and film members of the team, including Red 1 Squadron Leader Jim Turner and engineering support staff about the season ahead. With 120 support staff, you don't have to be a pilot to be a part of the Red Arrows.

Middlesbrough born RAF Airman John Baines has been given two chances to enjoy his debut Winter Olympic experience, after also being selected to compete in the men’s two-man bobsleigh event which concludes today. Baines, an ICT Technician based at RAF Leeming in North Yorkshire was drafted in following an injury to Craig Pickering, the former Olympic sprinter.
