Andrew Nutter back for his ‘local’ summer festival

Rochdale’s very own Andrew Nutter will return to Rochdale Feel Good Festival next month.  The flamboyant star chef will be appearing in the Carillion Celebrity Kitchen, on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 August.

Andrews had a fascinating career since coming runner up in the National Junior Cook of the Year competition aged just 13.  Seven years later he launched ‘Nutters’ restaurant, which soon expanded into the 18^th century manor house it occupies in Norden.  He’s won multiple awards, including Lancashire Chef of the Year, Restaurant of the Year, and the Courvoisier Award.  He’s a regular on radio and on television and is always a popular guest on shows like ‘This Morning.’ He also hosted his own Channel 5 series ‘Utter Nutter’.

Andrew works alongside all the main supermarket chains, promoting regional and local produce and raises money for local charities.  He’s a favourite at major cookery events around the UK.

Andrew will be appearing on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 August.  He’ll be joining a line up which also includes the one and only Ainsley Harriott, BBC Fusion Chef Aazam Ahmad and another local chef - Peter Clough from the Norden Arms.

Rochdale Feel Good Festival returns on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 August, promising another explosion of entertainment, food and culture. There will be live music across indoor venues, a main stage against the backdrop of the town hall and a community stage on the Esplanade. Music acts already confirmed include headliners ‘Scouting for Girls’, and eighties ska band The Selecter, plus others still to be announced.

“Rochdale Feel Good Festival is one of the most popular events on our calendar and every year it continues to set the standard and provide a welcome boost for the town.  We want it to maintain its place as one of the very best music and food festivals around, with a mixture of established stars and local talent. Once again we have a fabulous line up and I have no doubt it will be a success once again.”

The summer festival is funded by Rochdale Borough Council together with sponsorship from local businesses including RRG Toyota, Rochdale Observer, Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre, Carillion, Balfour Beatty Living, Rochdale 6^th Form College, Rochdale Online, 96.2 The Revolution, The Flying Horse Hotel, Mango Bar, Rochdale Exchange, Link4Life, Public Health and the Maskew Fund.
