Flowing transitions that almost look like they are floating, and lines – typical of Mercedes-Benz Style – that perfect the interplay between shape and materials: Rodenstock and Mercedes-Benz Style present the 'Aesthetics Eyewear' design studies, a visionary outlook at future eyewear collections.
The styling of the design studies presents the unmistakable Mercedes-Benz Style philosophy – opulent clarity as a definition of modern luxury. The two 'Aesthetics Eyewear' design studies in the material combination of silver shadow/walnut as well as silver shadow/piano black stand for harmony and emotion and arouse the greatest desire. The design studies focus on the sensually flowing forms with the stimulating contrasts.
As already done for the Mercedes-Benz 'Aesthetics 125' sculpture, the Mercedes-Benz designers developed the model with the innovative 'Rapid Prototyping' technology with which digital data is modelled directly into a three-dimensional design object. The designers consciously took away the limiting context of ergonomics, technical feasibility and formal constraints in order to impress the viewer with a purely aesthetic-sensual aspiration.
Ahead of the spirit of the times, the avant-garde 'Aesthetics Eyewear' design studies provide a direct link for future Mercedes-Benz Style eyewear collections. To do justice to the passion for natural beauty with dynamic shapes, a limited series of the "Aesthetics Eyewear" will be available in selected retail outlets from the beginning of 2017 .
