Piano Lamp designed by the Jan Plechac & Henry Wielgus studio
Simplistic yet classic, uncomplicated yet thoroughly unique – the new Piano Lamp range of table and pendant lamps combines multiple contrasts to form a modern and cohesive overall concept. The design by the Jan Plechac & Henry Wielgus design studio was inspired by a traditional table lamp from the early 20th century, which the designers have transported into the here and now through a number of playful details.
The bulb fitting of the Piano Lamp is made from high-quality brass, which – together with the screw fittings on the sides – produces an exciting contrast to the glass. A transparent, delicately cut crystal glass body, which is available in three different cuts (Classic, Grid, Stripes), gives off the perfect amount of light at all times. The bulb fitting and glass body can be individually combined. The collection is available in white and black.
The Czech designers Jan Plechac (born 1984) and Henry Wielgus (born 1982) founded their joint studio in 2011 and are well-known for their clean Scandinavian designs. Their creative lamp and product designs, and installations for galleries and companies such as the Rossana Orlandi Gallery, Cappellini and Menu, have already won them numerous design awards.
