The Skillfair Conference

      Time: Nov 08, 09:00 - 16:30
Location: Telford Campus,
Shifnal Road,
Telford
TF2 9NN

Transformation in Business - Telford Campus of Wolverhampton University, Tuesday 8th November.

The Skillfair Conference is the premier event in the UK for independent consultants - the only event dedicated to people like you and drawing a wide cross-section of consultants from corporate, IT, engineering and small business spheres. Well regarded and well attended, this year's conference will focus on Transformation in Business - particularly apt in times of change and where so many consultants are competing for business and having to develop new strategies to win and deliver their services.

The venue
We'll be holding the conference in the Wolverhampton University (Telford Campus) newly completed Conference Suite, a self-contained area with a communications suite containing 24 internet-connected computers for email etc. There's also the Visualisation Centre, a teleconferencing room where we are hoping to hold at least one session, linking up with a similar organisation in Brazil or Eastern Europe. The University can offer ensuite overnight accommodation for £24.95 plus VAT - although there are good road and rail links into Telford you may prefer to travel the night before and stay over. There are good disabled facilities throughout the campus.

The format
Arrive at the conference before 9.30am and collect your delegate pack, have coffee and pastries and network with your peers. The morning will contain three or four short presentations (yet to be finalised), followed by an 'Open Space' forum. In previous years, conference delegates have really benefited from this session, where discussion topics are chosen by the delegates and everyone is free to move between conversations, gaining input from a variety of people. Come armed with topics that you want to discuss.

Following Open Space will be lunch, in the dining room where we will have tables set aside for you, and a two-course hot lunch with several options plus salad bar is provided. The afternoon workshops will be more in-depth sessions where you can really explore the subjects you have chosen - again, details of these are yet to be finalised. We expect to finish around 4.30pm. Tea and coffee are available all day.

We look forward to meeting you on the day - book before August 31st to obtain our Early Bird discount.

If you are a UKITA or Skillfair Member please book via the Skillfair website to obtain member rates - UKITA members will need to have regsitered for a Skillfair account.

Not a member of Skillfair or UKITA? If you don't wish to register for a trial membership of Skillfair then please book via Eventbrite.
