  <title>Redevelopment plans for the RNOH, Stanmore</title>

  <description>Aspire’s head office and the National Training Centre are based on the site of the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore. For years, the hospital has been working on getting planning permission for a complete redevelopment of the site to improve facilities and bring it up to date. Last week, Harrow Council gave the go ahead for exciting plans for a £98million rebuild.</description>

  <title>Aspire welcomes change of mind in wheelchair service provision</title>

  <description>In 2012, Aspire discovered that eligibility criteria for new patients requesting powered wheelchairs in Newham had changed. Residents were expected to use the higher rate mobility component of their Disability Living Allowance (DLA) to access the Motability Scheme to lease their own powered wheelchair, even when they had been medically assessed as needing one. </description>
