Dometic: Presents Range of New Cooling Solutions at Boot Düsseldorf

Leading marine equipment manufacturer Dometic is introducing its latest line up of new and enhanced cooling solutions at this year’s boot Düsseldorf.

Providing boaters with a range of choices to cool and freeze their food and drink onboard, Dometic has developed unique products, including refrigerators, powerful compressor coolers and thermoelectric coolers, for unprecedented levels of convenience and efficiency.

New products at boot Dusseldorf are as follows:

• New WAECO CoolFreeze CFX 28 and CFX 95 DZ2

Dometic has developed two new models to extend the WAECO CoolFreeze CFX range of powerful compressor coolers.

Deep-freezing up to -22°C, the new 28-litre compact CoolFreeze CFX 28 is an extra-slim, high performance compressor cooler. Similar to the existing models in the CFX high-tech series, the durable and lightweight CFX 28 is fitted with reinforced corners, stainless steel hinges, a hard-wearing lid coating and sturdy fold-away handles.

CoolFreeze CFX coolers accept any energy supply from 12 to 240 volts and feature a three-stage battery monitor and an electronic thermostat with a digital temperature readout which keeps food and drinks cool with one-degree accuracy. A USB port recharges low-power devices, and a detachable lid fitted with a non-slip rubber mat is ready to serve as an extra table on board. The interior of the box is accented by an LED light and there is a separate crisper compartment to keep certain foods frost-free.

The new WAECO CoolFreeze CFX 95 DZ2 is about 85 litres in capacity with all the features synonymous with the range, plus two compartments for cooling and deep-freezing with separate controls. The desired temperature can be accurately set to any level between +10°C and -22°C. Both compartments have their own, separate lid to minimise cooling loss when the box is opened. The new CFX 95 DZ2 also provides users with the option to set and check the temperature via a convenient smartphone app.

• Newly-designed WAECO CoolFreeze CF series

The popular compressor coolers of the WAECO CoolFreeze CF series are now available in a new design and new sizes. Featuring new compact compressor technology, the coolers are even lighter in weight and easier to handle, with shoulder straps, practical carrier handles or grips. All models also now run automatically on any power supply, from 12 to 240 volts. They have a practical digital display and an electronic system which can be set with one-degree accuracy. WAECO CoolFreeze CF series coolers are now available in three sizes - 11, 16 and 26 litres in capacity. The two larger models can be firmly secured with an optional fixing kit.

• Newly-designed WAECO TropiCool TCX

The new WAECO TropiCool TCX coolers are now available with a digital readout and new, contemporary design. Featuring a smart power-save circuit for A++ energy efficiency rating, the thermoelectric high-tech coolers in the new TCX series feature an integrated power supply that connects to 12, 24 and 230 volts, plus a priority circuit for mains operation included as standard. Cooling up to 30°C below the ambient temperature and with a heating capacity up to 65°C, the TropiCool boxes are reliable for use all year round. WAECO TropiCool TCX series coolers range in capacity from the compact 14-litre TCX 14 model to the 33-litre TCX 35 box.

• New WAECO CRX refrigerator

The first and only marine refrigerator with a removable freezer compartment, the versatile new WAECO CRX refrigerator provides boaters with a 3-in-1 cabinet solution. For the first time, a marine refrigerator with freezer compartment can be easily transformed into a larger capacity fridge-only unit or the temperature of the entire unit can be reduced as low as 17°F (-8°C) to provide a freezer-only unit. The breakthrough design is achieved by the patented removable freezer concept, which enables users to quickly slide out the freezer to adapt the unit as required.

The CRX features a flush-mount electronic thermostat control panel, located on the interior side wall for users to make precise soft-touch temperature adjustments. An infrared sensor triggers a bright LED-light system to illuminate the interior. Ensuring optimum performance and noise reduction, the fridge uses a powerful electronic three-speed variable compressor which adjusts automatically to achieve the required cooling capacity.

The sleek and durable WAECO CRX is available with either a stainless steel door or standard door in the following sizes: the 45-litre CRX-50, 57-litre CRX-65, 78-litre CRX-80, 109-litre CRX-110 and 136-litre CRX-140.
