Sika Limited: Sika UK Appoints Key Account Manager for Shipping
Formerly Technical Sales Manager at Flowcrete for the South England, Wales and Ireland, Tony brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge of resin flooring and screed systems across a diverse range of markets having spent a total of nineteen years working in technical sales in this field, including four years in a laboratory as an analytical chemist.
With a BSc in applied chemistry, Tony’s experience also encompasses the specification of screed solutions that have acoustic performance and has worked alongside many major architects in the UK.
In his new role, Tony will be responsible for working closely with Sika’s UK commercial contractor, Euro Resins, who carries out the installation of Sikafloor® products on commercial vessels. Also, working alongside commercial shipping operators in the cruise, ferry, workboat, tug & offshore sectors, Tony will provide advice and technical expertise about the Sikafloor® range.
Sika’s Sikafloor® decorative and marine acoustic flooring solutions are proving highly successful in the commercial shipping sector and are becoming the product of choice of many major ship builders and cruise liners for new builds, refit and repair work. Highly effective in reducing noise and vibration carried through the air and the vessel structure, one of the main benefits that sets Sikafloor® products aside is their incredibly fast curing times, creating minimal disruption to passenger and crew.
