About SeeAbility

People with learning disabilities are more likely to have sight loss and less likely to get the help and support they need. We have been supporting people with sight loss and multiple disabilities for over 200 years.

We help people to see beyond disability.

People with learning disabilities are more likely to have sight loss and less likely to get the help and support they need.

SeeAbility is a 200-year-old registered UK charity that supports people with sight loss and multiple disabilities, including learning and physical disabilities, mental health difficulties, acquired brain injury and life-limiting conditions. We provide specialist support enabling people to develop the skills and make the choices they want, to enjoy a fulfilling life with as much independence as possible.

We also share our expert knowledge to raise awareness and improve eye care for people with learning disabilities, acting as the national voice on behalf of children and adults with sight loss and multiple disabilities, challenging health inequalities faced by those people and their families, and ultimately preventing avoidable sight loss.
