Bounty Revamps Digital Experience for Mums with Sitecore

Press Releases   •   May 22, 2014 15:26 BST

London – May 22nd 2014Sitecore, the global leader in customer experience management software, Zimbra, a global leader in unified collaboration software, and Sitecore solution partner Rufus Leonard are working with Bounty Parenting Club on the re-launch of its .com site, www.bounty.com, across mobile and the Web.

Bounty, the leading parenting club in the UK, reaches 96% of mums and mums-to-be through distribution of its famous packs which help new parents with information, money-off vouchers and product samples. Through its 50 year heritage, it has evolved into a true multi-channel player with its website serving as a key engagement tool for the brand.

As part of its strategy to develop the optimal online experience for its users, Sitecore’s Experience Platform (EP) will be used by Bounty, including the core Sitecore content management system (CMS) and digital marketing system (DMS), together with Sitecore’s in-built analytics.

Using Sitecore, Bounty will be able to deliver highly relevant content and personalised digital experiences that are relevant and engaging for its members at whichever stage they’re at – whether they’re trying to conceive, currently pregnant or raising a young baby.

Bounty has also chosen Zimbra, a Sitecore technology partner, to help power its online community – an interactive hub where new and expectant mums can engage in, share with and learn from a community of others through forums, product reviews, competitions and photo sharing. Zimbra Community, Zimbra’s online community solution that seamlessly integrates with Sitecore EP, will allow Bounty to provide a richer social experience for its online community members, further enabling communication, networking and information sharing.

Sitecore Solution partner Rufus Leonard is also working alongside Bounty to refresh the online strategy, creating an optimised customer experience across all touch-points, including its design and implementation.

Julie Price, Technology and Programme Director at Bounty, commented, “Ever since its launch back in 2000, our website has been a vital part of the Bounty club, enabling pregnant women and mums with young babies to engage online. Providing the optimal experience for them is key to driving our point of difference between ourselves and the competition and harnessing loyalty and engagement amongst our ever-evolving audience.”

Price continued, “Through working with Sitecore, Zimbra and Rufus Leonard, we are confident we can take bounty.com to the next level, in terms of user experience, as we continue to evolve in response to our users’ wants and needs.”

Simon Etherington, Managing Director at Sitecore UK, commented, “We are delighted that Sitecore has been chosen to help Bounty start a new chapter for its digital strategy and operations. Bounty is such a trusted, unique brand in this sector, and together with Zimbra and Sitecore Solution partner Rufus Leonard, we look forward to helping Bounty connect more effectively with mums across the UK.”

Sitecore Acquires Leading E-commerce Vendor commerceserver.net

Press Releases   •   Nov 20, 2013 11:58 GMT

San Francisco November 20th 2013 Sitecore, the global leader in customer experience management software, today announced that it has acquired commerceserver.net. Sitecore’s acquisition lays the foundation for the industry’s first .NET based, enterprise-grade Customer Experience Management (CXM) platform with a native, fully integrated e-commerce engine.

The integration of e-commerce functionality with Sitecore’s leading experience platform allows marketers to truly own the experience they deliver to every customer or prospect that engages with their brand, creating high value customers for life.

“Our vision from the beginning has been to deliver a complete, connected experience platform that puts the customer at the heart of every interaction and engagement,” said Michael Seifert, CEO, Sitecore. “With this acquisition, our customers can now add enterprise-scale e-commerce capabilities to create truly consistent and personalized experiences.”

Sitecore acquired commerceserver.net from SMITH (formerly Ascentium), a global digital experience agency that builds, sells and supports the Commerce Server e-commerce engine. SMITH is also a Sitecore Strategic Commerce Alliance Partner and will continue to work with Sitecore and its customers to develop world-class commerce experiences.

Existing commerceserver.net customers will have the option of utilizing a deep integration between Commerce Server and Sitecore’s platform or a standalone Commerce Server product that will continue to be supported by Sitecore.

“E-commerce functionality is critical to delivering relevant, personalized experiences for online shoppers, yet current CMS solutions offer poor or non-existent e-commerce integration,” said Ryan Donovan, President and CTO at commerceserver.net. “The acquisition of commerceserver.net by Sitecore is great news for customers because it introduces a rich level of integration between commerce, content and digital marketing that has not been achieved by any other vendor.  It will also provide a compelling .NET choice for enterprise customers while ensuring a strong and viable future for Commerce Server technology to its sizeable install base.”

“SMITH has implemented some of the largest enterprise .NET B2B/B2C e-commerce implementations globally. We look forward to offering customers a tightly integrated .NET based content and commerce solution leveraging our extensive digital marketing capabilities,” said SMITH President Tony Marinelli.

Sitecore Named a Leader in Gartner’s 2013 Web Content Management Magic Quadrant for Fourth Consecutive Year

Press Releases   •   Aug 06, 2013 12:26 BST

San Francisco – August 1, 2013 – For the fourth straight year in a row, Sitecore, a global leader in customer experience management software, has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Leaders Quadrant of the 2013 Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management (WCM).1 In May, Sitecore was also positioned by Gartner in the Visionaries Quadrant of the 2013 Magic Quadrant for Multichannel Campaign Management (MCCM) for the second consecutive year.2

According to Gartner, companies considered to be “Leaders” drive the market’s transformation with a clear vision and a strong ability to execute. Sitecore believes this leadership recognition validates the company’s unique approach that focuses on enabling marketers to own their brand experience at every touch point and easily and effectively manage their multichannel campaigns.

“Sitecore is the world’s leading experience platform for marketers,” said Michael Seifert, CEO, Sitecore. “We built our platform from the ground up to let marketers own the experience they deliver to their customers and drive real and measureable results across every engagement channel. This terrific recognition inspires us to work even harder to deliver smart and innovative solutions to our customers and partners that help them drive revenue and build customers for life.”

“Sitecore’s experience platform is instrumental in our success, allowing our marketing team to manage the customer experience with ease, maintain a consistent brand across channels and go to market faster with new product information.” said James Brown, Director of Information Solutions at Crayola.

Over 3,000 of the world’s leading brands choose Sitecore because it allows them to deliver custom, measurable brand experiences that are highly relevant and consistent, across all channels. Sitecore brings together multiple components – content management, marketing automation, digital marketing, analytics, and business processes – into a single unified software platform, which marketers use to deliver outstanding results.

According to the Gartner report, revenue in the WCM software market totalled approximately $1.2 billion in 2012 and is expected to grow by 12 per cent in 2013 to reach approximately $1.4 billion.3

Gartner defines WCM as the process of controlling the content to be consumed over one or more online channels through the use of specific management tools based on a core repository. These may be procured as commercial products, open-source tools or hosted service offerings. Product functionality goes beyond simply publishing Web pages to include: content creation functions, such as templating, workflow and change management; WCM repositories that contain content or metadata about the content; library services, such as check-in/check-out, version control and security; content deployment functions that deliver pre-packaged or on-demand content to Web servers; and a high degree of interoperability with adjacent technologies such as CRM, MCCM, DAM, Web Analytics.
