The range of downloadable camera apps from Sony continues to expand with the launch of ‘Portrait Lighting’. It allows users to easily accentuate people’s faces and take stunning portrait photos by adjusting the contrast and lighting level.
Available to buy from the PlayMemories Camera Apps Store, the app enables users to instantly create the impression that standard indoor portraits have been shot professionally in a studio. Using the app for landscapes adds a luminescent beauty and truly allows the photographer to experiment with their creativity.
Portrait Lighting works in three easy steps. Firstly the user can adjust the lighting level on the subject or the background. Secondly, the composition can be adjusted and finally, both the transformed image and original copy are saved. Simple!
There’s a fast-expanding range of free and paid-for PlayMemories Camera Apps™ by Sony to suit every shooting style. They expand the capabilities of compatible cameras with apps to control the camera, manage images and create professional-looking effects. It’s easy to shop for new apps straight from your NEX-5R or NEX-6 camera. All you need is a Wi-Fi connection to browse the growing library and instantly upgrade your camera.
The Portrait Lighting app is available now in the UK.
