Welcome 2015

With the New Year here, it offers us the perfect opportunity to make changes in our life to allow us to start working towards new goals for 2015. If you need some ideas or inspiration, we've put together a guide of simple yet fun ideas to make this the best year yet!

1) Start something new – why not take this opportunity to take up a new hobby? Learning something new is always a lot of fun and gives you a real sense of achievement. From tennis and golf coaching to cookery master-classes, you could learn many new skills which you may otherwise not try. At Stoke Park you can give any of these activities a go throughout the year, whilst having fun

2) Step outside – if you have found yourself stuck inside for too many hours of the day, why not make yourself step outside for at least 30 minutes each day and breathe in the fresh air, helping clear your mind and distress after a long day. This could involve starting a new hobby. Golf is the perfect sport for getting you outside, learning a new skill but also socialising at the same time (especially if you need the motivation!) With top Golf Professionals on hand to teach you the great game, why not give it a shot.

3) Time for yourself – many resolutions involve goals for the future, but within that make sure you leave some time for yourself. Indulging in a much needed Spa treatment once in a while, will reinvigorate you, making you ready to face the next task. Why not try the latest Spa treatment retreat, enjoying treatments; a delicious lunch and time to switch off from any outside distractions...it’s totally worth it!

4) Feel good – with all the festivities now over, it’s time to kick start that healthy eating routine that we always seem to be putting off. Eating well doesn’t have to be hard or scary. If you’re in need of some inspiration, why not pay a visit to San Marco our Italian Brasserie, for some wholesome yet nutritious meals. The Pan Fried Fillet of Sea Bass with Herb Mash, Samphire, Crayfish and a Saffron Broth is highly recommended by Executive Chef, Chris Wheeler, or alternatively try the infamous Stoke Park ‘Fish Bento Box’, a selection of marinated Fish and King Prawns, which is truly delicious.

5) Fitness Fun – a common resolution amongst us all is the plan to hit the gym and get fit...however a few weeks in, we find ourselves having not stepped into one. Instead, why not take alternative routes such as joining a new exercise class like Hot Yoga or Spinning with a friend making it fun or get a Personal Trainer for some extra motivation.

6) Lifestyle – we all aim to work hard in life to strive for the best career, however it’s important to make time for our social life. Why not take a look at the Stoke Park Social Membership and see what it could offer you. With a packed calendar full of social events, take some time out and enjoy some fabulous events in the magnificent surroundings of Stoke Park with those nearest to you. Stoke Park is also the perfect place for some family time, accommodating everyone’s needs, from a tranquil Spa day or a round of golf, to a state of the art kids games room, making it an experience for the whole family to enjoy.
