Appeal continues following arrest in connection with Englefield Green stabbing

Detectives are continuing to appeal for witnesses following the arrest of a man in connection with a stabbing in Englefield Green.

Officers were called to St Jude’s Road following reports of a large party on Friday night (Sept 13). When they arrived at 11.13pm a man was found in nearby South Road with stab wounds to his arm and shoulder. He remains in a stable condition in hospital.

Enquiries are continuing in the area today with officers patrolling the area to talk to residents and the wider community.

Officers are particularly keen to hear about the movements of the man described below, at the party:

  • White
  • Above 6ft tall and of slim build
  • Aged in his late teens or early 20s
  • Short dark hair
  • Was wearing a white t-shirt with a scarf around his neck

Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Dee Fielding said: “This was a serious attack which has left a young man with potentially life-changing injuries. We need the community’s help to find out why this happened.

“We have been carrying out a number of enquiries since this happened on Friday night and have had a witnesses come forward. However we still need further information from those who attended the party.

The man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and has been released on bail while enquiries continue.
