UPDATE: Can you help us identify these two men in connection with attempted knifepoint robbery in Epsom?

We have released further CCTV images of two men we would like to speak to in connection with an attempted knifepoint robbery in Epsom earlier this month.

We were called to The Parade in Epsom, near to The Rising Sun pub shortly before 6pm on Thursday 6 June, following a report that a man had been victim to an attempted knifepoint robbery. The victim’s phone was demanded before he was struck across the head and sprayed with an unknown substance.

The first man officers are looking to identify is described as mixed race, short black hair, 6 ft tall and of a slim build. The second man is described as mixed race, afro-style short hair, 6 ft tall and of a skinny build. Both men are thought to be around 25 years of age. Both men were wearing black or dark clothing.

We’re also appealing for anyone with information about a dark coloured Nissan Micra, which was believed to have been parked on Laburnum Road at around the same time as the incident.

Anyone who may have seen men fitting this description, or the Nissan Micra, in the immediate area at the time of the offence is asked to contact Surrey Police on 101, quoting reference PR/45190058918. We’d also urge drivers to check any dash cam footage and local residents to check home CCTV cameras.
