Did you see attempted robbery in Horsham Park?

Police are appealing for witnesses to an attempted robbery in Horsham.

On Friday (May 31) at 9.05am the victim, a 47-year-old woman, was walking into Horsham Park from North Parade when she heard someone running up behind her. They tried to grab her handbag, but after a struggle, the suspect has run off towards the North Eastern side of the park after failing to get the handbag.

The victim has sustained an injury to her arm for which she is receiving treatment for.

The suspect is described as a white man, around 5' 10", of medium build. He is believed to be in his early twenties with brown stubble. He was wearing a black or dark navy hooded zip up top with similar colour jogging bottoms. He was also wearing bright orange trainers.
